Hamlin Fistula USA

Hamlin Fistula USA supports the Hamlin Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia (HFE), opened in 1974 by Drs. Reginald and Catherine Hamlin, through fundraising in the United States and raising awareness of obstetric fistula – a debilitating childbirth injury.

The hospital in Addis Ababa, the five regional hospitals, and the Hamlin College of Nurse Midwives operate with the ultimate goal of eradicating obstetric fistula in Ethiopia. The hospital is a global center focusing on the three key elements necessary to make this goal a reality: treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention.
